How to curl your hair help plz!!!?

ok so im 13 and my hair is really really black and i my hair is wavy but it gets freezy and that's why i have to straight my hair but i want to curl it with the curling iron but i don't know how. i don't want it to look like a prom hair thing just like a really curly and natural look and something for it not to get to freezy

Just make sure the curling iron is hot and wrap a 1'; section of hair around it. Make sure the hair is spread out along the iron. Hold it like that for 15-25 seconds. While you're holding it, you get different result if you hold it vertical or horizontal. Rather than unwrap your hair, just pull the curling iron out of your hair. Brush it a little and then give it a spritz of hairspray. There are videos on youtube to show you good ways of doing it for different results.How to curl your hair help plz!!!?
when its wet blow dry it out with a nozzle thing, then when its dry you can curl it. thats what i do.
Get it wet and sleep with it in curlers. Or use a pencil. Wet a thin clump of hair and twirl the pencil around it. Blow dry it, for like five seconds take it out and hair spray it. Repeat with other clumps of hair.
