How do you make curls stay in your hair all night loong!?

When I curl my hair with a iron it looks GREAT!

I just dont know how to get it to stay...I use hair spray but even after that it will drop and die down...I want it to stay in huge curls and be bouncy like it is right after i curl it...

I DO have thick hair...and ALOT of it...which is why it weighs down but is there anything I can put in my hair to make it stay in huge curls and bouncy? (My hair is a little past the shoulders)

Sorry I'm new to this curling hair thing so any help would be nice!

Thanks in advance! How do you make curls stay in your hair all night loong!?
Use soft curlers in your hair when you sleep, and cover your head with a scarfHow do you make curls stay in your hair all night loong!?
before you curl it, put mouse in your hair. then curl it with the iron. when its wrapped up in the iron, add hairspray to the hair around the iron. let it sit for 5 seconds or 10 seconds. Then unwrap your hair from the iron. when you do this for all your hair, then at the end put light hairspray on your whole hair. get the bouncy style hairspray, not the stiffening kind. then, when you sleep, etc, the curls will stay longer, and be bouncy.

good luck :)
put more hair spray......
make your hair wet when you go to bed--or try to put it in a braid. :)
sleep standing up.
I also have thick hair and have found that the best way to get curls that stay is to use hot rollers rather than a curling iron and to use a product called ';Hot Sets'; its a Redken product available from your stylist or beauty supply store.

As icky as this sounds, slightly ';dirty'; hair curls better than freshly washed hair. If your wanting to start from fresh when you dry your hair with the dryer, do not use a brush to smooth the hair, bend at the waist and dry the underside first to add body and volume.

Once dried Brush through your hair and start at the front with rolling the rollers. They do take some time to learn how to roll but have patience and pracitce before your ';big events';. Brush or comb out a section at a time, spray with Hot Sets before you start to roll, roll the complete length of your hair and pin securely. Leave the rollers in until your the rollers are completely cool! This is a key element. Unlike when you curl with the curling iron, the heat is on the rollers for an extended time period and usually result in a longer lasting curl.

When you unroll the curlers, be carefull to keep the curls as intact as possible this will help keep you hair from tangling. Depending on the exact style, you may want to bend over at the waist and fluff and seperate the curls some and then spray to set the curls. Be carefull to not over use the hairspray as it too can weight down the curls.
