Emo's new short hair cut and new fashions??

Bobs and short haircuts for women made their debut in the 1920s and were greeted with raised eyebrows and allegations of scandal. Since then, bobs and short haircuts for women have become permanent fashion fixtures and are here to stay. Bobs and short haircuts can be quite easy to manage and can look appropriate for any occasion, depending on how they are shaped and styled.

The classic bob was a blunt cut that made the hair the same length as the ears all around (except the front, of course) with a hint of curl formed by old-fashioned curlers. Today, there are as many bobs and short haircuts as there are types of women who wear them, and the famous bob has evolved to fit almost every fashion requirement.

Styling bobs and short haircuts can be quite simple, since there is less hair to work with. However, trying an unfamiliar style also has its challenges, and sometimes patience and trial and error are required before creating the perfect look.

? For a classic, blunt bob, make the hair straight all around, and ask the stylist for bangs. Using gel, comb your wet hair straight as you blow dry. Spray it well.

? For a Pageboy bob: Use a wide-barrelled curler and curl the back of your hair and bangs under. Wait for the curls to cool, and brush gently, encouraging the large curls, with a large, round brush. Spray well.

? For a flip bob: If you like the mostly straight bob with a little flip in or out at end, use a flat iron to make most of your hair straight, and make your hair flip in or flip out at the ends by twisting inch wide sections around the flat iron.

? Kinky bob: If you do not have naturally curly hair, create curls using wacky curlers or by using a narrow-barrelled curling iron. Leave the curlers in your hair for at least a half and hour and blow your hair dry, or, using a curler, wind your hair around the iron in one-inch wide sections. Use a pick to arrange your curls and spray well.

? Layered Bob: If your hair is layered, and you would like a soft, natural looking bob, rinse out your conditioner well and work mousse through your wet hair. Dry well, using your fingers to style your hair and twist some strands of hair for extra wave.

? Super glossy bob: This look is great for formal events. Use shampoo and conditioner specially designed to bring out the sheen in your hair. Sculpt wet hair with gel and brush straight. Blow dry on a low setting, and finish with a hair spray that will make your hair very shiny.

? Super short bob: Paris Hilton sported this bob shortly before getting her hair sheared. This bob requires very little maintenance. The hair should be cropped close to the face. Use a little mousse to give the hair a bit of volume. You needn't worry about making the bob very curly or very straight, since this is a natural looking hairdo. Simply use mousse, coax your hair into the desired style with a brush as you blow it dry.

? Emo bob: Although emo's claim to ignore fashion, the bob has hit even the emo crowd. Cut your hair into a blunt cut with scissors. Don't worry if the ends are not exactly even. Dye your hair black and add red or frosted highlights if you wish.

Bobs and short haircuts can create a very ';sweet'; look. A short haircut that has as much sass and elegance as a bob is the ';pixie'; look. This hairstyle is great if you have an oval face and want soft bangs that emphasize your eyes. The back is cut in the shape of a wedge, and more hair is left at the top. The bangs can be curled under or combed straight. A little curl is quite feminine and brings out the eyes.Emo's new short hair cut and new fashions??

How the hell do you curl your hair with a straightener?

everyone says it's so easy to do with a chi iron but i fail to see this...please helpHow the hell do you curl your hair with a straightener?
a little difficult to explain without 'showing'...but...here goes:

~ make small sections

~ pull hair through - as if straightening - to the end, just before you reach the end start turning the iron you roll the iron with hair wrapped around the outside of the flat iron......then depending on the look you want....you can pull the iron OUT....leaving the hair wrapped in a curl ...take the flat iron the press the outside with the iron...also...

let it cool wrapped up in the curl as well.....

pin curl the curls with the little silver pin clips so they can cool as well.....

Its more of a bumpy wave look - but its a very cool look.....differentHow the hell do you curl your hair with a straightener?
you have to have like 1/2 inch one, if its like rectangular and wide and 1 inch, its impossible
CHI Irons...

-straighten

-CURL

-flip

-style.

Take a small piece of your hair, and wind it around your straitener. If it is a curling one. :]
I'm really sorry if this doesn't help but if you just use it like a straightener then it should work
okay it seems weird but it works. i'll try to explain it to you.

place the chi as the top of your head, near your scalp, and as you go down, twist the chi in a 360 degree motion.

basically, when you straighten your hair, you go straight. when you curl your hair, you continuously turn the straightner.

hoped i helped(:
It's all in the wrist. Just turn your wrist at the ends either in or out to curl under or flip out... Good luck!

How do you style your naturally straight hair?

Hey, just wondering because I have pin straight hair and wanted to know how other people style theirs. If I leave it alone besides blow drying it dry, it looks bad. I usually flip the ends under with a fat curling iron and pull the two sides up with clips. P.S. I have naturally dirty blonde hair. Don't know why I added that. Thanks! How do you style your naturally straight hair?
Well I have very straight hair to and if you get a layered hair cut with some side swept bangs it tends to make your hair look more thick. Or you could try french braiding your hair while it is wet and letting it dry, it gets very crimpy but it is also volumized. I hope that helps!

Thats 'Bella' from the twilight movie! :)How do you do this hair and makeup?
i'm not sure about the hair, but for the makeup:

She look likes like it's an eyeliner stick and rimmels black eyeliner pencils are great, it looks like she does the inside of the lid all the way to the corner of the eye and then a bit on the bottom bit of the lid to make it more a smokey effect, then for the mascara, define a lash by maybelline is great, i use it all the time!

You can also top it off by putting some vaseline on your lips to make them look shiny :)

Hope ive helped a bit
for the hair you wash and condition it

air dry it

then get ur curler and twist the ends of ur hair for about 25 seconds or more

i believe for makeup she is wearing black eye pencil like MAC or urban decay

for mascar get define a lash trust me it is the best its the shape of ur lashs and if u go root to tip u get no clumps and long pretty lashes

use a cream nutral eyeshadow and rub itnto lid and a darker shade into ur crease

and some chapstick for lips

and for face foundation and a pinkish cream blush on the apple of ur cheeks so they glow

i hope i helped
Hun... your asking for alot... youtube is your friend.... they have plenty of videos of how to do your hair and makeup.
wash hair.

let dry.

part in the middle.

curl your hair with a 1.5-2 inch curling iron

when your whole head is curled shake out the curls so they are more loose.

use whatever you want to pull back the 2 sections.

hairspray as needed. :D

ps. imsoexcitedfortwilight!
try putting rollers in your hair for a couple of hours. then after you take it down, move your fingers through it, just play with it, then put hair spray. but honestly, its not gonna look exactly like that because your doing it to yourself. the best way to make it look EXACT is going to the hair dresser.

the makeup is really easy. black pencil eyeliner, on the top eyelid as close to the eyelashes as you possibly can. and when you are appling the eyeliner, try rubbing it into your eyelashes as well (this will make your eyelashes look longer). the half way on the bottom eye, put black eyeliner pencil starting half way from the middle of your eye, to the outer corner of your eye. then it looks like she has a golden, tanish eyeshadow all over the eye lid. probably a nude shade of lip color. curl your eyelashes, and then put some mascara on it.

and again, your probably wont get it to look EXACTLY like hers. goodluck and hope i helped =)

use powder eyeshadow.
AW, r u a twilight fan too? Or do you just like her hair? Either way here ya go

Hair

-To curl hair, use a wide-barrel curling iron. Starting with one section, take a 1-inch portion of hair, spritz it with styling spray (again, I love Bumble and Bumble Styling Spray) or hairspray. Wrap hair around the barrel of the curling iron. (Wrapping hair is different from the traditional curling method. You don't want to 'clip' hair into the barrel. Wrapping allows you to curl all the way to the root). When you're curling, make sure to leave ends loose to avoid a crimp mark.

Release the curl after about 5-10 seconds (hold longer if you want a tighter curl). You should have a corkscrew curl.

Roll curl and bobby pin it close to the scalp. (I'm lazy, so I skip this step to save time).

Alternate the direction of the curl as you work your way through each section. (It's all in the direction you wind hair around the barrel of the curling iron. Start by placing hair on top of the barrel and wrapping around, then switch by putting the barrel on top of the hair before winding it around). Alternating directions makes curls look more natural. Some curls can remain tight, some loose.

Once pinned curls have cooled, release them.

Remove nozzle from dryer and gently loosen waves with cool air. You can also separate curls with your fingers, just make sure not to brush them out.

To add shine, spritz a hair serum . Stylist David Babaii finger-combs Biosilk Silk Therapy serum into actress Kate Hudson's hair (May 2007, InStyle). You can forego hair serum and spritz with saltwater spray. I like John Frieda Beach Blonde Ocean Waves Sea spray.

Set with hairspray. Just don't overdo it, you don't want new waves to feel ';crunchy.'; Also use volumizing spray.

- Great Eyeliner

Step 1: Start with a completely bare eye, no shadow or mascara.

Step 2: Apply liquid liner in the upper lashes. Dot the liner into lashes, pushing them aside if need be. The result is not supposed to be a line. It's supposed to look as if the lashes themselves are super thick at the root.

Step 3: Apply mascara.

Step 4: Compare eye to other naked eye and see if you love the results.

Eyeshadow- http://cgi.ebay.com/Cover-Girl-Eye-Shado鈥?/a>

What To Do With It-Prep the lid. The key to keeping eyeshadow from melting into your eyelid crease as the day goes on is to kept eyelids oil-free. To do this start with an eyeshadow base (also called ';primer';). I prefer to dab at bit of MAC's 'paint' on lids before shadow application. Or try Fresh Freshface Perfecting Eye Primer.

Apply eyeliner. If you're going for a typical black, brown or gray smoky eye, apply liner in one of those colors above the upper lash line, drawing line thicker in the middle of eye. If your opting for a jewel-toned eye (violet makes a gorgeous smoky eye), line eyes with a purple, blue or deep green liner.

Blend in color on bottom lashes For color on the bottom (a key smoky eye look) you'll want a lighter eyeliner. The key is to ';smudge it.'; You can also apply a bit of shadow to get full smudge effect.

Apply light base color Again, the key to a smoky eye is pairing a lighter base with the darker hue. I prefer a nice cream shade for my base. Sweep a light, shimmery shadow over the lids to your browbone. I love Stila's whipped eye shadows $20. The moist ';mousse'; consistency seems to stay on forever. My favorite colors are taupe and pearl.

Blend in darker color, but keep dark color below the crease. Now that you have the base and eyeliner on, it's time to get the smoky effect. You need a darker eyeshadow shade. Using an eyeshadow brush blend in color starting at your lash line, blending up. Make sure to blend color into the lash line so the eye liner disappears. Stop deep color at crease.

Doublecheck your work Make sure eyes match and blend color with a Q-tip if need be.

Finish with several coats of volumizing mascara. Tried and true mascaras (featured in ';Elle'; magazine's March 2006 issue) include DiorShow Mascara %26amp; L'Oreal Paris Volume Shocking Mascara. Elle's writer says they are the best volumizers she's tried.

Ok, that should do it....Hope it helps

How to make straight hair wavy?

How do I make my hair wavy? It's super straight, and it looks really good wavy. I don't have enough time in the mornings, so I have to do it at night. So I need a way to wave my hair so it will stay overnight.

These are the things I don't have, so don't say that I should use these:

straightener

voluming hair spray

These are the things I DO have, just in cause your wondering:

hair curler (iron)*

a person to help me

hair lol

curl booster spray

shower

REMEMBER IT HAS TO LAST OVER NIGHT

I only have 15 mintunes to do something with my hair in the mornings.

I don't understand this: ';Wrap hair around the barrel of the curling iron. (Wrapping hair is different from the traditional curling method. You don't want to 'clip' hair into the barrel. Wrapping allows you to curl all the way to the root). When you're curling, make sure to leave ends loose to avoid a crimp mark.'; How do I NOT clip it?!

Thanks. How to make straight hair wavy?
i don't get those curling iron instructions either, but what I do is (and my hair doesn't curl easily) braiding my hair, putting it in ponytails, etc when it is wet (not soaking wet, just a little), sleep on it, then style in the morning w/ hairspray and products,

also effective but takes more time:

lay wet hair streak on tin foil, wrap the tin foil up to the root so that that the hair in curled up kinda like in an iron. clip it (bobby pins work for me) on your head and sleep on it. makes my hair usually nice and wavy.

i hope you understand my bad explanation =)How to make straight hair wavy?
try braiding it. it will be wavy after you take off the braid. also wet your hair when it's braided.
do you have the japanese brand lucido? they have a hairspray specially for curling hair. you spray them onto your hair before using a curling tong... if not, you can skip this step or find an alternative product. curl your hair with a curling tong. do not hold it for more than 30 seconds as it may damage your hair. if you find that the curl has not set, curl it again for another 30 seconds. after curling, apply mousse or hair wax for permed hair evenly and scrunch your curls to make them last. there is also a none heated curlers(sponge balls) whereby you can roll up your hair(in 6 sections) at night after washing when it is 80% dry and got to sleep. by next morning you would get beautiful curls which you can just apply mousse and scrunch them up to make them last. DO NOT apply any kind of hair styling products onto your hair before you sleep. it'd only give you skin problems.

another option is only if you're really good at it. apply mousse evenly onto your hair and scrunch them. open your hand with fingers wide apart, grab onto a bunch of hair and rub your fingers together. i've seen hairstylist doing it on tv and she really managed to get pretty wavy hair out of a straight and limp hair just like that. then apply wax for curls to make them last. but for this option, the mousse you use have to be those specially to create curls for straight hair. i've tried using normal fixing mousse and it didnt work.

good luck!
I have super straight hair too. When I want wavesI usually either braid it or twist my hair up into a messy bun and sleep with it. When you take either out in the morning, it should be wavy for the most part, eliminating time you need to create waves right there. Then use some hairspray to keep everything in place.
okay, buy some gel or leave-in conditioner that is meant specifically to enhance your curls like ';noodle head'; take a shower, put it in, and scrunch your hair with it a lot. After that add ';bed head, after party'; and the john frieda luminous color glaze clear shine... and the um pantene smoothing adoucir or something like that. Then put it in a shower cap or a towel overnight. It will look ah-mazing!
ok depending on how straight your hair is ok get a bobby pin put on end or your hair in it the wrap your hair around the bobby pin and then once your done pur another end of your hair in the bobby pin
  • can anyone tell me how to
  • How do I look with curled hair?

So I curled my hair for like the first time EVER.

Yes, I know, that's strange, but I absolutely do not know how to use a curling iron, so I just used my straightner to curl it.

Anywho, curly hair makes my head feel a lot lighter and my hair less heavy and I would like to wear it out, but I'm not sure what people will say, especially since I barely know how to curl it.

So since this is the first time seeing me for you, tell me what your first impression is about the hair. Thank you!

P.s. Is the hair too flat on top and making the rest of the curly hair look weird?

you look great with curled hair! And the flat hair on the top looks a tiny bit weird but barely! definitely wear it out like that! Good luck!!
you look really cute. haha looks like you can use the curling iron better than me ;)
    you look adorable

and i think it looks better on most people to curl there hair with a straitener

    it really does look cute!

    my first impression would be

WOOW O.o she is so pretty :]
    Adorable :)
it looks good, and you dont need to worry anybody saying it looks bad 'cus they're idiots.

What curling iron would be best for me to buy? And another question?

Hi everyone. I am interested in buying a curling iron, and would like your advice/recommendations/suggestions. :)

My hair is naturally thick and tends to be a bit coarse/dry, especially the day after washing it. It's medium length (a couple inches below my shoulder), and naturally wavy. I'm interested in buying a curling iron that would:

    a. work well with my hair (whatever type of curls would best suit it, I don't actually know)

    b. be relatively cheap (hopefully less than $20 -- I'm not looking for something TOO grandiose)

    c. can be found in stores that are in Manhattan (I don't want to order online because of the high shipping prices)

    Any suggestions? :)

Also another question -- I always wash my hair at night. I never blowdry it, but instead just leave it to airdry. Consequently, I always wake up with my hair still somewhat wet. (And no matter what I do, it always gets coarse and frizzy during the day. Argh :( ) After I buy a curling iron, how would it be best for me to use it? In the morning, even if it's still somewhat wet? Or would I *have* to blowdry it? And curling it at night, is that a bad idea or not? I have no idea if your hair can be wet or not when you curl it, lol.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)What curling iron would be best for me to buy? And another question?
can I just say one thing? my hair sound EXACTLY like your's! weird huh? I bought a curling iron a couple of months ago i dont live in manhattan but i could tell you some stores which to seel curlers: boots, GHD, Revelon, Amore, Hedkandi and nicky clarke :) you should try using some serum to keep ur hair in control, worls for me!

    When you crimp your hair...?

Well ;; I want to crimp my hair. But i don't have a crimper. But i do have a strightener and a cruling iron. And I've been trying to find out how to crimp my hair with a curling iron, but I can't find anything. But i have found somethings on youtube, with the straightener. But it takes FOREVER. :[

    So what im asking is

Do you know how to crimp your hair with a curling iron?

%26amp;%26amp; Can you tell my how to make it go faster, when i use a straightener??

Thanks. I really apreciate it. x]When you crimp your hair...?
its so worth it to just go buy a crimper or a triple barrel waver. they're only like $25 and you won't have to worry about another way to do it..its not gonna turn out good. and if you just invest in one its way easier. plus it looks so good!

How do you make curls stay in your hair all night loong!?

When I curl my hair with a iron it looks GREAT!

I just dont know how to get it to stay...I use hair spray but even after that it will drop and die down...I want it to stay in huge curls and be bouncy like it is right after i curl it...

I DO have thick hair...and ALOT of it...which is why it weighs down but is there anything I can put in my hair to make it stay in huge curls and bouncy? (My hair is a little past the shoulders)

Sorry I'm new to this curling hair thing so any help would be nice!

Thanks in advance! How do you make curls stay in your hair all night loong!?
Use soft curlers in your hair when you sleep, and cover your head with a scarfHow do you make curls stay in your hair all night loong!?
before you curl it, put mouse in your hair. then curl it with the iron. when its wrapped up in the iron, add hairspray to the hair around the iron. let it sit for 5 seconds or 10 seconds. Then unwrap your hair from the iron. when you do this for all your hair, then at the end put light hairspray on your whole hair. get the bouncy style hairspray, not the stiffening kind. then, when you sleep, etc, the curls will stay longer, and be bouncy.

    good luck :)
    put more hair spray......
make your hair wet when you go to bed--or try to put it in a braid. :)
    sleep standing up.
I also have thick hair and have found that the best way to get curls that stay is to use hot rollers rather than a curling iron and to use a product called ';Hot Sets'; its a Redken product available from your stylist or beauty supply store.

As icky as this sounds, slightly ';dirty'; hair curls better than freshly washed hair. If your wanting to start from fresh when you dry your hair with the dryer, do not use a brush to smooth the hair, bend at the waist and dry the underside first to add body and volume.

Once dried Brush through your hair and start at the front with rolling the rollers. They do take some time to learn how to roll but have patience and pracitce before your ';big events';. Brush or comb out a section at a time, spray with Hot Sets before you start to roll, roll the complete length of your hair and pin securely. Leave the rollers in until your the rollers are completely cool! This is a key element. Unlike when you curl with the curling iron, the heat is on the rollers for an extended time period and usually result in a longer lasting curl.

When you unroll the curlers, be carefull to keep the curls as intact as possible this will help keep you hair from tangling. Depending on the exact style, you may want to bend over at the waist and fluff and seperate the curls some and then spray to set the curls. Be carefull to not over use the hairspray as it too can weight down the curls.

How do you make your hair wavy?

I am leaving to go to a party in about two hours. I would like to do something with my hair other than just leave it down. I think wavy hair looks cute, but I don't have the time to put it into a braid and wait. I have a standard curling iron, and I might have a ringlet curling iron if I look for it. I have mouse, hairspray, and gel. How do I make my hair wavy with the supplies that I have? How do you make your hair wavy?
when its wet, braid it, then blow dry, undo braids. you get an adorable wave. EDIT: oops sorry. um, with the straightening iron, you can clamp your hair, then as you pull your hair throught the iron, bend it into a curl, it will give you large curls, without looking for your ringlet curling iron. or curl your hair, then brush it out, (clumps of curled hair is NOT cute, rather disgusting)How do you make your hair wavy?
cover a stick with your hair then put gel over it, wait, and then take the stick out! try it.
try scrunching it. wut you do is when ur hair is wet, pin it up with bobby pins and let it dry. when you take them out, kind of mess around with it and syle it- maybe brush it a little. when u got the look you want, HAIRSPRAY!!! not too much tho...

    鈾?Me
jump in the shower, jump out, braid your hair into thick french braids, then blow dry until COMPLETELY DRY!! if u do large braids not french braided, the top of ur hair will be flat and the rest will be wavy.
For one, you should have thought about this about 2-3 hours sooner. If you have some slick rollers you can take and shampoo your hair, and then roll it up, putting mousse in before rolling it, and then set your dryer on high heat but low setting so it dont blow your hair every which way, and spray some hair spray on it while drying it. use your fingers to seperate the hair on the rollers to feel for dryness, once it feels dry after cooling off , take it down, and there you go.
you can use large rod curling Iron or use a big round brush with blow dryer
Curl your hair with the curling iron. When you get the hair freshly done, it looks curly, but in a matter of minutes it will look just like the pictures. When you get the look you want, apply hairspray. Good luck!
omg sista....soooooo not cute. trust me nigas do that avoyed doing that!!!!
You COULD use your standard iron and kind of Wave it through but actually leave it in for a bit or you could heat up pencils in the oven (ha ha it works!) at 300 degrees and then take them out and wave your hair around it! Trust me I knew a person who did it!
    Ok here goes......

1)Take a shower and towel dry your hair until it is damp not wet.

2)Take your hair and divide into 2 sections.

3)Mousse up 1 section, then the other one.Use ENOUGH mousse not too much, but not to little.

4)After that quickly blowdry it for about 30 seconds, its just a cool breeze.

5)Apply a little quantity of gel on your hair and scrunch.

6)Tie the hair into a messed up,and tight bun.Let it hold for 10 minutes.

7)Let your hair down and spray all of it.

Add some cute barretes or hairbands if you wish.Good luck.=]

How to make your hair curly?

i was wondering if there was a way to make your hair look like you curled it with a curling iron but instead in a way that wont damage your hair. for example to get your hair wavy you just braid your hair and sleep over night with them and the next day your hair is wavy. i wasnt to get my hair curly without having to use a curling ironHow to make your hair curly?
To have curly hair without using a curling iron, you could sleep in sponge curlers. But the effect might not be as pretty or neat as it would be using a curling iron. To avoid and prevent damage from thermal styling, go buy a thermal protectant spray or product of some kind, and then you wouldn't have to worry about using a curling iron. ';It's a 10'; has a leave in product that is very good for that. How to make your hair curly?
uhmm.. theres not much you can do, all i can think of is sponge rollers, when your hair is wet you put them in on your entire head, then wake up in the morning and take them out and it will be curly, just use hairspray
you could get a perm. now i know when people say perm people think poofy tight curls. but there are a lot of different perm sizes i guess yo could call them lol. i have naturally straight hairr and i went and got like a loose curly perm and it made my hair like a really pretty wavy curl. soif you go see you're hair dresser they can help you with that.

    hope this helped[:
as for curling it think twice about a curling iron, I'd use a flat iron just because its better for you hair, its quicker and easier.

Try this tutorial out so you can see what I''m talking about:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uB1npokA2鈥?/a>

Its for curling ur hair with the flat iron.
if ur hair has some natural curl just got some moose and scrunch it in ur hands. but if its not curly at all (white girl hair) i would have no idea but im half white and my hair is wavy/curly so i do the scrunch thing and then blow dry it with a curl brush
Use the soft curlers over night. The plastic spiked sort of ones damage hair.
i always hold a strand of my hair with my finger and thumb in a pinched position from the point i want it curled from then wrap it around, looping it through the hole in between, sorta acting as though winding thread around a bobbin, then i hold the remainder of the strand with a circle shape hanging down and clasp the circle with straightners then after pull it downwards, sorry its hard to understand i will soon try make a video
There are a few things you can do that have worked for me:

1 - Use a curling cream or a mousse! My favourite is Aveda Be Curly Curl Enhancer, it works really well

2 - When your hair is wet/damp, seperate it into 4 - 8 sections, give or take, depending on how thick your hair is.

Take a section and seperate it again ito two sections, twist those sections together by crossing them one over the other until the very end, secure it.

Do this for each of the 4 - 8 sections.

Take them out when they're dry, you can adjust it as needed.

Or, once your hair is seperated into the 4- 8 sections, twist the sections into buns and secure them with bobby pins as tight to your head as you can.

Same thing, take 'em out when they're dry, and adjust as needed.

    3 - It's still heat, but it's not a curling iron.

You can curl your hair with a straighter. It works great for me.

Seperate your hair the same as you would with a curling iron,

Starting at the root of the section, twist it around the straightner as you pass it through your hair.

It's difficult to explain, here's some good YouTube video of it..

How do you flat iron your hair with a round brush and straightner?

ok my friend said she did it and i love the body and volume of her hair.how do you flat iron it using a round brush.do you flat iron it then use the brush or what? but i dont want it to curl under hers doesnt and my hair is kinda shortish so i dont want it to be curled under or out .How do you flat iron your hair with a round brush and straightner?
Get a section of hair and put the brush under it close to the roots,

Run the straightener down while following with the brush,

Make sure to keep it straight and not curl it towards the endHow do you flat iron your hair with a round brush and straightner?
you brush some of your hair out, curling it around the brush, so that the hair gets straight between your scalp and the brush. Then you use the straightener starting close to your head on the straight part of your hair, then as you brush out, move the straightener out along with the brush. This is really hard to explain but its a really simple technique
Well if you don't want it to curl under or out, then I wouldn't recommend using a round brush. The point of the round brush is giving your hair shape.
    Your straighten it ! :)

Any makeup or hair tips with a straightening iron?

I sooo fustrated, how do you use a straightening iron to curl or straighten your hair properly? Also, any great makeup combinations and how to apply eyeliner nicely.Any makeup or hair tips with a straightening iron?
Don't use a straightening iron to do your makeup lol JK! With a straightner you just can't hold it in one place for too long or you will get kinks and don't use it at the hottest setting! Eyeliner I do a small line on top 1/2 way then use the smudge tool to get it across it doesn't look cakey and for the lowers I put it right above my bottom lashes!Any makeup or hair tips with a straightening iron?
straightening is straight forward. take some hair and start at roots and pull through.. but for curling with a straightener its ideal to get a cylinder shaped straightener. and instead of holding the straightener perpendicular to your hair, hold it at an angle and turn your wrist a bit to the direction you want your hair to curl, dont wrap your hair around it but pull through. the more you turn your wrist, the more curly it will be.
You have to have a small curling iron. Put the hair in between the iron, go to ends and then turn round. Same way as you would with a curling iron. Not really that hard. Just section it out and clip it so u have equal pieces of hair. It will make it look neater. for makeup combinations, try smokey eyes and a neutral lip or golden eyes and red lips. Depends completely on your personal preference.
Wear a heat protecting spray, before straightening your hair, so it doesn't get frizzy.

For makeup, don't put too much. For eyeliner, put it on the top first. After that, if you need to, apply some to the bottom.

If your pretty young, don't wear foundation, as it causes pimples and is not neccessary. Brush is pretty good because it gives your skin a healthier look. Mascara is also a must!

    Good luck :]

How do you make your hair spiral curly?

My mom has spiral curly hair, really pretty, and looks like a spring; so does my dad. But I have straight hair. I got a perm, 3 actually. But they just make it wavy. Is there any way to make my hair like my moms, permanently? With out moose or curling iron! How do you make your hair spiral curly?
    Amen Alexis!

But if you want curly hair without using an iron or chemicals, try using rags. Rags? Yes, rags. This is a good way to curl your hair without chemicals or heat. It may only last for that special night, but with a few hair clips or pins, it should be impressive.

Cut an old cotton t-shirt into strips about 1.5 inches wide by about 8-10 inches long. Make as many as you need to do your hair. (You will know what I mean later.)

Wash and condition your hair as normal. Towel dry so it is still damp but not wet.

Take one of the rags and just as you would with an iron, take a section of hair at the top of your head and lay the very end ( about 2'; or so) just off center of the rag. Fold the rag the long way onto itself. Begin rolling the rag, like an iron, up to your scalp. Your hair should be wrapped around the middle of the rag. Once at the top tie the rag just like you would a shoelace. Continue with the rest of your hair. Try to remember which way the end of your hair sections are in the rags.

Leave the rags in until your hair is completely dry. You may want to wear a hat if you plan on going outside... lol. Leave in overnight or until your hair is completely dry. This may take quite a while since your hair is wrapped.

Once dry and beginning at the bottom layer, untie the rags and carefully pull the rag in the same direction as the end of your hair section is pointing. Let the hair un-spiral by itself, but don't pull hard. If needed, unwrap the rag from your hair, don't unroll your hair from the rag.

Hopfully if done properly you will have nice curls in your hair. They may not be tight curls, but it should look great. And if you don't like it just wash your hair again. Use hairspray sparingly as this is the chemical-free way. Style your hair to your liking; up-do or leave as is.

Be advised the curls will probably wash out the next time you wash your hair. Hope it works for you!

trust me, you dont want ur hair like that..im stuck with it..its horribly diffucult to style
I found this on youtube - you use paper bags to make curls, no heat or mouse required! Leave it as is, because if you run your fingers through it, you'll get the waves you don't want.

if the perms don't work, i don't think anything will

try using those pinwheel curlers(the really thin ones) and then just spray your hairafter wards with extra hold hairspray

  • Whats a way to straighten your hair hair with no flat iron? i only have a blow dryer.?

i have wavy hair if there are no ways to straighten hair without flat iron how do you curl it? i dont have a curling i ron but i do have this frizzies stuff that you put in your hair when its damp and i washed and codished my hair with that infusium stuff. thank you!!Whats a way to straighten your hair hair with no flat iron? i only have a blow dryer.?
What I do to ';scrunch'; my hair (curl it) is take a shower and when i get out, towel dry it and then comb it. Then i take some mousse and put it in my hand and push my hand up into my hair and just do that over and over with my hair and then dry it doing the same motion with my hand but no mousse and then spray it with hair spray!Whats a way to straighten your hair hair with no flat iron? i only have a blow dryer.?
    First:

After your shower, or when your hair is wet, grab a comb or brush, and brush/comb it a little to get rid of frizzies and some tangles.

    Second:

Grab your blowdryer and start blowdrying on low all over your head,

then flip your head down and blowdry on high for a couple minutes

    Third:

Make sure your hair is about 60% or 75% dry,

put some frizz serum or detangler on your frizzy prone areas (again)

And take a brush or round brush and start blowdrying

    Technique:

Round brush - Roll up hair in round brush while drying with the other hand

Brush - Brush out section of hair about to be blow dryed and dry that section, repeat over again and again

    Fourth:

If hair is still wavy take some detangler or infusium and run through hair to be blow dryed again.

    Tips:

For the best: Use heat protecter with heated products,

I recommend Dove Heat Protecter Spray (In a red bottle)

    Curling with a flat iron:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv-JSQbcu鈥?/a>

It's very simple, and easy! :]
If you want to straighten it you can use a blow dryer and a large round brush. Divide your hair into four sections. You put product in your damp hair. Then blow dry it using the round brush and pull the hair straight out. Put the brush under the hair and blow dry it as you pull the brush out. Then put the brush over the same area and do the same there. You will need to do each side 3 or 4 times each side.

If you want to curl your hair you use the same basic technique, except you roll the hair and twirl a few times while blow drying it. If you want smaller curls, then use a smaller brush and smaller sections.

    Good luck hun!

Ladies: if u burn urself on forehead with curling iron; it leaves a scar, how long will it be there?

When i was younger i always knew some females who would try to rush while curling their hair and would end up burning their forehead and they always ended up having this wound on their forehead and would have to walk around school with band aids on their foreheads and i was just wondering if it HAS EVER HAPPENEND TO U AND IS YOUR SCAR STILL THERE ? because i would love to see them again now that we are older and make fun of that funny scar on thier forehead if it is still there. they are good friends so no im not trying to go out of my way and offend them i just was wondering if they still carry their battle wound from the curling iron because i want to bust them out letting them acknowledge that i still remember when they would self inflict their own head with a violent burn to the forehead.

thank you and have a nice day.Ladies: if u burn urself on forehead with curling iron; it leaves a scar, how long will it be there?
Hahahah. I've totally done that. Apply Vitamin E or Polysporin daily and massage the scar - it helps to break down the scar tissue. I did that with my flatiron burn and it went away in about four days.

But if you pick at it, it will last for weeks.Ladies: if u burn urself on forehead with curling iron; it leaves a scar, how long will it be there?
Mine lasted about 1 week - needless to say I wore a hat at all possible times. Damn did it hurt!
Everyone is different. I know some grown woman with marks on their foreheads and I know it's from the curling iron from childhood....lol
LMAO! I burnt myself once too on my forehead but like at the side and it was tiny but not tiny enough not to be seen LOL. BUT BUT BUT, the scar went away after like a week for me because I didn't even notice it until my friend told me LOL.
    2 DAYS.
i had one on the neck, for about a week

Use a brush and a hair dryer....that would be the cheapest way, aside from buying a straightening iron.
Flat iron you can also just blow dry it. I find blow drying it better b/c my hair doen't feel so dead and it gives you more volume. hope I helped! :)
    i don't...have straight hair already :P...

my curly hair friends use flat iron then spray with some CHI thermal protection spray: work really well.
    naturaly have straigh hair?
you would use a hair straightener--flat iron.

you should buy the ceramic ones

or a Chi. Chi's last for very long time, and plus it hardly damages your hair
its the same as useing a straightner.(but straightners r better) i suggest the chi turbo straightner.
I use a combination of blow drying while brushing out straight (often using a straightening lotion or mousse like ';Keep it Straight';), and then I use a straightening iron on it. It works really well.
    Shave your skull clean
i guess i have to state the obvious- WITH A STRAIGHTENING IRON!
basically every time u wash your hair mix herbs and olive oil and lemon juice on you hair. it may not work striqaght away but after about so long u will realy see you hair gettin much more straighter..

it worked for me and all my m8s

    Hair,help problem???

I have Straight hair and it is a littke wavy but never curly. Ineed to know how to get curly hair without buying anything or using the curling iron, because my hair is extra long and it takes forever to curl it with the iron thing. I do not use gel at all and neither will I start to. I have hair and scalp hair food conditioner. If you know anything at all about curling hair that can help me, then please write your response. (I can even wash my hair if you want me too, like some people say that washing your hair and putting moose on it is the way to get it curly, but that never works.)Hair, help problem???
I have the same problem and I know what you mean. Well, I suggest buying the John Freida hair products: they come in shampoos and conditioners that can give you a head start on curling your hair, because the shampoo will curl it a bit while you're in the shower; however, you will need a curling iron to curl the more stubborn parts of your hair!! I hope this helps!Hair, help problem???
try using a difuser with some curl enhancer gel.
First, I would put 1 trip to a hair salon and see what they say would be the best for your hair type. There are a lot of different things out there that are new and one trip would probably be worth your money spent. Hope I have helped in some way. Sincere, diane
    Wash N' Curl shampoo.
    Get a large curl Perm.
Put mousse in it, wait all of 2 seconds, and scrunch it. Immidatly after that blowdry it. Have fun!
when i was a kid i had really long hair, my mother used to put my hair up in curl rags, strips of cotton that my hair was wrapped around then rolled up and tied at the scalp. i worked fine, looked wearied tell my hair was dry but i had curly hair, until i found a mud puddle or some other way to get my hair wet.
get some of those granny curlers....the ones that dont require heat....just put them in, let your hair dry (or use a blowdryer) and then take them out...
After washing your hair apply some kind of styling product. Take the hair in sections and twist it. Pin it up using a clip . Do this all over the head. Allow to dry and when you remove the clips you will have waves in your hair. The smaller the section the tighter the waves will be.

How do i convince my mother that the mark on my neck REALLY IS from a curling iron?

from a curling iron and its NOT a hickey!

This morning, i was curling my hair and *bam*, i dropped it on my neck, and it burnt me.

    I came home, and she says ';Whats the hell is on your neck?!';

and i said ';Oh, its a curling iron burn from this morning!, see?'; and i moved my hair out of the way for her to see.

    so she responded with ';YEA RIGHT ELL! ITS A HICKEY! YOUR GROUNDED!';

so i asked her to look at it again and she said to go away.

what the hell. It is clearly not a hickey. Now what do i do?! im grounded for a burn! How do i convince my mother that the mark on my neck REALLY IS from a curling iron?
lmao wow how the hell does she not know the difference??

hah to piss her off id come home with a real one n be lyk hey this ones a hickey this ones a burn. see?

lol i have a specail talent for pissing off my parents..How do i convince my mother that the mark on my neck REALLY IS from a curling iron?
Hickeys fade, burn marks don't. Time will tell her whether or not you were lying.
it should start scabbing up or pussing where the burn is. i cant believe she doesnt know the difference
Ouch...hickeys are from blood vessels popping underneath the skin.

Burns are burns...there is a definite difference.

The burn will probably blister or leave a scar or something...then she'll know.
You could go to your school nurse and have her examine it. If it really is a burn, she should be able to tell. Ask her to write a note to your mom saying that it's a burn.
I don't think you have any chance of convincing her in to believing that it's a burn.
    lol. your cute

How do you make your hair beach wavy?

Like loose waves, not like scrunched or braided hair, but like with a curling iron to look like kate hudsons hair in this picture: http://www.hbo.com/news/img/463x290/2006鈥?/a>How do you make your hair beach wavy?
Before you go to bed wash and condition your hair. Comb it out and blot (don't rub) with your towel. Rub some volumizing mouse into your roots and spray Bumbel and Bumbel Surf Spray all over it. Twist and scrunch it a little and then sleep on it. When you wake up it will be dry and wavy/curly. Go through your hair and curl random pieces with a medium barrel curling iron to tame any frizz and make it less messy. Finish with a texturizing hairspray. If it looks to matte for you then spray it with a glossing spray as well. Bed Head makes good sprays. Just don't get your roots cause it will make your hair look oily. How do you make your hair beach wavy?
i think you could get it permed like that at a salon. Or to buy a curling iron that would do that for you just look at the picture of the model on the box. your curls/waves will probobly end up like that.
Use a curling iron, but be sure to start at the TOP of the hair strand, near you roots. Wind the hair around the iron as you make your way down the hair strands. It will take you some time, but you can definitely get the beach waves effect. I do it all the time.
There's this beach hair stuff by Garnier. Try that or you use a curling iron.

How would you get your hair like this (pic)?

I have fine, straight shoulder length hair. My bangs are grown out and parted off to the sides. I don't have to do anything to straighten it so I just wear it down without curling or hair product most of the time. But it's kind of a boring look and I want to try to style my hair. I've never really used a curling iron, diffusers, root lifter or gel before.

Could you tell me step by step how you would do your hair like the picture below? I've got a pretty good idea how to get the curls by wrapping the hair around the barrel of a curling iron. But I don't know when in what step I'd add any hair product. Whenever I tried to style my hair before, I've had problems getting volume on the crown of my hair.

u could try gel instead of mousse...or hot rollers work well with my hair, put them in hair, leave on for 10 or 15 minutes n then take out...plus this works better than a curling iron, my hair is reallly straight n the hot rollers make the curls in my hair stay unlike a curling iron...but i think the curling iron u saw on a video was a 2 barrel curling iron maybe?? walmart might have them, ulta most likely does
My hair is really thin too and its flat

i cant curl crimp or tease my hair because

it goes flat in like 5 minutes SO i was surprised

im not sure if it will work for you to but you could try.

why not try smooth magnetic type hair rollers in damp hair that the hair salons use to give your hair plenty of volume and curl, but remember to use setting lotion
well im really not sure what ur talking about

get curlers and curl your hair wet o dry preferably wet and dry it completely then take them out and see how you like it.

    Curling hair?

My hair is naturally straight, but with all the layers it comes

out wavy (the out of control type of wavy) unless I straighten it.

    Past my shoulders too.

    Anyways, how can you curl your hair without using an iron. D;

I've tried using my flat iron to curl my hair, but it turned out super messy. Braids don't work for me either,

and my only solution are rollers.

there are products such as sunsilk waves of envy, or curl enchancers and srunch spray. if you use srunch or curling spray, spray a little on a piece of hair while its wet, then twist it around your finger and blow dry it on cool or warm air, and it should come out curly, or take a small round brush and twist it around thatCurling hair?

    How to get curly hair?

ok so i have flat, brown hair thats long and i was wondering how to get curly hair without curling it with a curling iron because that really damages your hair!! thanks if you answer! How to get curly hair?
Well I use a flat iron to curl mine, but if you don't want to use electronics I would say wash your hair and put some mousse in it. Then I would put rollers in and blow dry it, then take the rollers out.How to get curly hair?
you could braid it (french braid if you want curls in all of you hair)

you could also put it in a bun over night

or put your hair in velcro rollers
Well, what i do is, when i get out of the shower, towel dry it a bit, then put mousse in, and scrunch it. You can either leave it to dry, or dry it on low. Its a really cute result. Just make sure not to use a brush, or you'll ruin the curls.
to make it wavy you can braid ur hair at night and then open it in the morning
take a shower and while your hair is still wet out your hair into a lot of braids then go to bed then when you wake up the next day take out the braids voila
lightly gel ur hair, the get 2x6 inch rags and roll ur hair up in them, leave overnight.

    Rag curls.

First: Get lots and lots of strips of cotton fabric

2:Put a barrette with 1 strip of cotton and put it on your head to keep the cotton still

3: twist little amounts of hair around the cotton

4:then using the leftover part of the cotton strip, wrap it around your hair.

5:tie it with the barretted hair.

6: repeat with all cotton strips.

*Use wet hair for maximum strength

*IF these instructions aren't clear, search on Google

    Hope this helps

P.S. It will stay in for 3-5 days if you don't shower.
The more I sweat the curlier my hair gets. And when I say I sweat, I mean I sweat a lot and then it dries in my hair, then I sweat more and it dries in my hair, etc. Do that a few days and your hair will be curly.
Idk but i want to learn.
with wet hair use setting gel or setting spray and roll your hair. the more rollers, the more curls. the smaller the rollers, the tighter the curl. those pink hair rollers you see on TV actually work. it's best to sit under a dryer or you can use a blow dryer to help dry faster. or wait over night for your hair to dry. remove the rollers and use your fingers to gently arrange the curls. do not comb or brush. spray with a setting/holding spray.

How do you repair the damage you did to your hair after straightening it?

I've been straightening my hair every single day for three years; it doesn't scrunch good. Now my hair looks really dead, it lost a lot of its shine, and it seems kind of crispy. I've tried curling it with a curling iron, but its been straightened so much that the curls just fall out and it looks horrible. How can i get my hair back to how it was before all the damage? How do you repair the damage you did to your hair after straightening it?
there are shamppos for that, there is pantene prov and make sure its the one that says ';for dry or damaged hair'; it works. There is garnier fructis, but also make sure that is the one for ';dry or damegd hair'; and last but not least, there is dove, any dove would be able to repair the damage.

If you want you can deep condition your hair at least once a week. How do you repair the damage you did to your hair after straightening it?
You need to go to a hair salon and get hair treatments;so your hair can be healthy again.
You should have bought a heat activated conditioner by kerastase it would have protected and kept your hair shiny. If you continue to straighten your hair you should use this product. Anyways go to a hair salon they'll recommend shampoo's and conditioners that can help you restore your hair to it's natural 'health' once more. Until you can go to a hair salon you should lay off straightening your hair and go out and buy kerastase and a good leave in conditioner to try and hydrate your hair.
You should use conditioner and that should make your hair go somewhat back to normal.

But even if you want to start scrunching it that would be better to give the straightning a break. So here's how to scrunch your hair :

Before you go to sleep take a shower and brush out your hair. Then add some moose and hair spray it.Then put it in a tight bun and hair spray this. Then sleep.ln the morning take down your hair and hairspray it and scrunch away.lt may look bad when you first take it down but each time you do it it gets better so keep trying. Also keeping it in a pony tail for an hour or too makes it look good. But good luck and i hope i helped a little bit. =D

How do people get that lose curl look? ?

It's not curly but it's not straight... Looks like when you curl your hair with a curling iron but then it starts to flatten? But it looks nice. Paula abdul did had her hair like that one night for American idol. Anyone know what I'm talking about? How do people get that lose curl look? ?
They probably just wrap it around the curler lightly. I think my sister does that. How do people get that lose curl look? ?
big barrel curling irons or big curlers.

I need help learning how to curl and keep curls.?

my hair is already kinda wavy but I want to actually curl it, but a curling iron doesnt work it stays in for like 5 minutes and fall out even with hairspray.

is there anyway to curl my hair and have it stay in? I herd of this way were right when you get out of the shower you put gel in, how does that work? and whats a good product to curl your hair?I need help learning how to curl and keep curls.?
Try using a smaller curling iron; that's what makes my curls last all day.

How long should your hair be to...?

use curlers! my hair is about to my shoulders, its an a line cut but itsnot too dramatic! i love having volume and i love curling my hair but my hair is so thick that it takes FOREVER with a curling iron/straightner.

how long should my hair be to use theheat up curlers!

thanks so much.--any other suggestions for hair would be awesome too!How long should your hair be to...?
Ya thats good, you can curl it. If your just trying to get volume, try sprying your hair with volume promoting hairspray and then braid it and sleep on it or leave it in for a few hours atleast. I hope I helped!

    ~Sarah

p.s. I have thick hair, and I do the braiding thing all the time and it looks FABULOUS!How long should your hair be to...?
how long do you want it!
    down to your shoulders
your hair is Perfect my mom has hair like yours and me too. it will look so awesome
i think you're hair is probably long enough but i would suggest doing more ringlet like curls rather than twirls. A really nice style that a lot of people wear a lot (including myself) is when you seperate the two closest bits of hair at either side of your face and pull then back. Brush them so they are neat and tie a bobble or clip at the back of your head so they are sort of dragged back. You can have it loose or tight, either way it looks really nice. Good luck!
A friend of mine cut her hair pretty short..about shoulder length so I imagine your hair is as about her length...anyways her hair is pretty thick too but she uses the heat rollers all the time you just need enough of then and put small amount of hairs intot eh rollers...be patient...it actually looks really nice..just make sure not to keep them in to long yes curls gives you volume but if the curls are to curly..since your hair is short your hair will lokk really really short..it does look pretty though once you're done..BTW Electric heat rollers work best Good Luck Hun!
it doesnt really matter how long but the best look is when its right or a little bit below my shoulders.

    answer mine?http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
As long as you have enough hair to wrap around the curler (and you do), you're fine. Depending on your desired hairstyle, you need a certain size. For big waves, you want bigger curlers, and for small ringlets, you want small curlers. If I were you, I'd get some that had many different sizes, so your curls come out more natural looking.
down to your shoulders will work perfect.

the size you get to pick dont make them to big or to small though.

sometimes people get to big curlers and it makes there face look smaller than it is
I think your hair is the perfect length for hot rollers. I use them everyday and so does my roommate. My hair is a bit longer, but her hair is just above her shoulders and it looks great when she curls it. It may look a bit ';poofy'; when you take the rollers out, but don't be discouraged or try to flatten it. Once you go outside it will fall a bit and look great! Try it on a day that you're not doing anything and see if you like it. Hope this helps!

by the way, i would use the medium rollers near the top of the head to give it shape, and big rollers on the bottom so it doesn't take away much length...
If your hair is really thick and course, the hot curlers won't give you the curl you want for a long period. You might want to have your hair thinned out at a salon and get a body perm, this will take some of the thickness out then you can use gel, let it dry natural, lightly comb it and then use a stiff hairspray. Or you can use regular rollers (dry it part way) and curl it or it will take forever to dry...I use to do it on my hair that is long, thick and like a sponge when water hits it. If you use a curling iron try blow drying your hair part of the way before you curl it, this way it should curl better with a little moisture in it and spray each curl with hairspray as you curl it then afterward. Have fun and God Bless, Velle T

    Curling hair???!!!?

So, i have this 8th grade formal coming up and i have an amazing dress that needs a fabulous hairstyle to go with it. I have decided to do a curly hair type style, but i need a few pointers.

    1. Im using only curling irons, a 2 inch barrel and a 1 inch barrel with ridges going down it. What are some good heat stylers?

    2. What is a good hairspray that holds good, but doesn't make your hair that hard crunchy type?

    3. any tips on curling??

    4. any pictures or how to's?

    Thanks so much!!Curling hair???!!!?
I find that if you wash your hair then, while it is still damp, apply a curl-defining mousse through your hair as directed on the bottle.

Then when your hair is dry, curl it and use a hairspray with an extra-firm hold especially if you have long hair!

Have fun at your formal! =DCurling hair???!!!?

If you have a curling iron that has the medal piece to help hold the hair use that. but dont hold the hair with the medal piece, it ruins the curls and leaves a mark, just wait for it to warm up and then wrap your hair as close to the top as possible and then wait 30 seconds and let it fall into place, use any hair spray to keep it from falling apart (dont use a lot and do not use gel) hope this helps!

How do you make your hair look like this with curlers?

Okay ive been trying to make my hair look like this for weeks now ... http://z.about.com/d/beauty/1/0/S/n/petra.JPG my hair is just as long as hers and when i curl my hair with a curl iron it looks like this but no matter how much hairspray i use it wont stay curly even for 30 mins and it takes me like a hour to do it. but when i use curlers it stays curly the whole day but i look like churly temple cuz its so curly, but my mom always put the curlers in my hair and she does them tight and roles them all the way to the top of my head. so i was just wondering is their a way you can make them less curly but still look like the picture up above with curlers? plz answerHow do you make your hair look like this with curlers?
okay this is what you do:

go to Sally Beauty Supply and buy a curler set. You want to buy large rollers because they'll make your curls big, loose, and soft looking, as opposed to small rollers which will make your curls smaller and tighter.

    This would work best:

    http://www.sallybeauty.com/Jet-Set-EZ-Grip-22-Piece-Curler-Set-for-Longer-Hair/SBS-772755,default,pd.html?cgid=Hair14-01

Put them in your hair after you get out of the shower, while your hair is still damp (make sure your hair's not too wet). Leave them in while you get ready, and blow dry your hair before you take them out. After you blow dry, give your hair a LIGHT coat of hairspray. If you put too much hairspray in, your hair could end up looking really stiff.

When you take them out, you should have those soft loose curls. You may want to go ahead and heat up your curling iron, just in case there are some spots you want to touch up once you take your curlers out.

Hope I helped! :)How do you make your hair look like this with curlers?
Spray your dry hair with lots of hairspray BEFORE you curl it, it's not good for the iron but who cares! It works.
Try spraying your hair with hair spray all over before you put the curlers in. Also, don't roll the rollers so close to your head. The hairspray before you roll should make it hold longer. Good luck!
if the curlers stay better than a curling iron than use them. just brush the curls so that they become softer like in the picture.
It depends on what hair product you are starting with - bumble and bumble makes a really great gel - put it on when your hair is wet and let it just about dry then use larger rollers (not velcro) and wrap the almost ';crusty'; feeling hair around them when it is practically dry, unroll carefully, spray like crazy and it works like a charm.
LOL my hair is just like that but curlier.... and natural, and brown.

    i love curly hair!

whats wrong with they way your hair is now? your probably have really nice hair.......

How would you style your hair like this (pics included)?

My hair naturally lies flat and I don't have to straighten it to get it that way. Because of this, I've never really styled my hair with a curling iron and were straight hairstyles instead. My hair a few inches past my shoulders. I'd like to style my hair to give it some texture or wave and volume but I'm pretty clueless about it!

Two women whose hairstyle I really like are those of Sheryl Crow and Lauren Graham. How would I get my hair like this? I'm looking for a step by stress process like if you use a hair diffuser, mousse, gel, then the curling iron ect. Basically if you woke up one morning and were going to do your hair like this how would you do so. I heard to get her hair like that Sheryl has to use a ton of hair gels and mousse to get it like that and that it's quiet a process. What would a body perm or hair wave do for this style? I'm talk looser curls; not tight curls for a perm. Thanks for your help!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=233o3DL1DwEHow would you style your hair like this (pics included)?
    1. make sure your hair is straight, dry and CLEAN... no product in it

(if you don't have naturally straight hair, you might want to straighten it with an iron first)

    2. take a curling iron... maybe about 2'' thick

    3. take hair spray or freeze spray and a small chunk of hair..

    4. spray your chunk of hair

    5. wrap that chunk of hair around the iron. your hair will sizzle... its normal

    6. keep it around the iron for about i dunno 6-8 seconds depending on your thickness and length of hair

    7. release hair from iron

    8. repeat

this technique gives you more control over the size of your curls and volume as well

spray your head completely for a solid hold

if you have naturally wavy hair, you could try gel/mousse and a diffuser but you risk frizz

just take 1/2 to 1 inch sections of your hair and curl with a curling iron. I usually take those sections and spray them lightly with hair spray (LIGHTLY) and then curl it- hold for a few secs. You can even take hot rollers (way easier) and put them in, when you take them out you will have big curls, but you can brake the bigger curls apart into smaller curls.... Youtube hair curling tutorials and a bunch of stuff should come up. I find all kinds of makeup and hair tips on there.I want to curl my hair:) help please?
    just curl it
    Hair rollers not heat curlers...

Put into damp hair use hair spray and hair dryer.
    get a curling iron thats bigger that 1';

    and curl ur hair

and then when ur done curling run ur fingers through it

dont put hair spray or anytihng in until after ur done running ur fingers through though=]]

and dont run ur fingers through too much or the curl will fall out

and also dont run ur fingers through until all the curls r cool:D
Curl it, it's always good to try something new. x]
Try braiding your hair in your sleep in nice big braids after you get out of the shower.

Or sleep in rollers with wet hair. =] But your hair's short, so it's going to look differently. =]

    How to curl hair?

like how do you curl your air if it comes up to your armpits and what is better scrunching or curling if its curling tell me how to curl hair with an iron curler and only hairspray and if its scrunching then how do you scrunch it with only hairspray but if you can't use hairspray for scrunching how to you scrunch it with gel or mousse whichever ones better please give step by step instructions best answer gets 1o points!!How to curl hair?
Well...curling your hair is a more elegant hair style for occasions but it doesnt really matter.

To curl your hair, you first need a curling iron.

    Here's how to do it:

    1. wait a good 5-10 mins for the curling iron th get hot

    2. take a strand of hair about 1inch wide

    3. Hairspray the part you are about to curl

    4. Put the curling iron at the END of you hair and curl it up

    5. Wait about 20 seconds

    6. unroll the curling iron from your hair

    7. BAM! curls :))

For scrunching alls you have to do is wet your hair %26amp; brush it.

    Here's how to do it:

    1. wet your hair/wash it

    2. brush it

    3. while your hair is wet and brushed, scrunch it as if you are balling up paper with one hand

    4. hairspray...use a lot...well, depending on your hair type; if your hair is thin it shouldnt take a lot, but if its thick %26amp; long youll probably need a lot.

    well, i hope this helps!!!!

oh yeah, and the hairspray: aerosol works best...the stuff in the can not the plastic bottles.

    =]How to curl hair?
All you gotta do is buy a curling iron.
okay, Take your curling iron and wrap you hair around it and hold it ten to fifteen seconds then let the curls fall, then let it cool continue till your hair is done the hairspray each peice, TADA! there are tons of vids on youtube
Dont buy a curling iron its kinda expensive....

    do scrunching

    1. You can use both mousse and gel... Mousse to curl it and gel to harden it if you want to

    2. Place the gel or mousse in the palm of your hand and rub you hands

    3. grab the tips of y0ur hair and scrunch it up.

    4. And if you want to harden your hair thenjust do the same thing with the gel.

    5. And to make it stay like that then use hairspray

    hope it workss =]
i suggest that you use rollers instead because the heat from the curling iron will damage your hair. i used to use it alot and my hair was so thick and shiny and beautiful before i did..then afterwards it had so many split ends and it was brittle! use some kind of gel or mousse (i use an fx brand that's for curls), let my hair get dry a little after washing, then right before it's completely dry i roll equally divided parts of my hair up. depending on your face, you should do a scrunched or curled look.
Hello-is your hair naturally curly? If so hair gel is good for scrunching-(mousse is for body)-apply gel to hair-then blow dry while scrunching hair upward toward scalp-turns out good for me to if i kinda ball up sections of hair and carefully blow the air iinto my fist-u can even clip the hair into balled up sections-as far as curling it-if your hair is that long-it wll take a while but warm the strand first by sliding the curling iron from top of strand to bottom-then start at top of strand and wind hair around until ends are curled under and the strand is completely around curling iron-hard to desribe that one-have u ever tried hot rollers?if hair is nat. curly-place all rollers in-starting w/the front-by the time u get to the back-front rollers should b done-spray w/hairspray then remove-run fingers through to losen then spray and scrunch-volumax freeze spray is great for this-we call it conccrete in a can-lol-good luck :O)

How do I curl my hair and keep it overnight?

i want to curl my hair for 6th grade graduation but I'm afraid it will come out bad with curlers in all night or a curling iron (which i've tried and it just makes my hair look puffy)

Graduation is in the morning and so i would have to do it the night before so I'm just wondering if a salon can curl your hair and if it will last through the night.

i do not want a perm because that lasts way to long. I dont know if salons can make it nice and last or if curlers come out nice. So if anyone has any advice thanks!

Heres two options of what i might want it to look like:

clip and sprayHow do I curl my hair and keep it overnight?
There's a technique called ';rag rolling';.

Firstly, wet your hair. Grab pieces of cloth that are around four times longer than your hair. Separate your hair into parts, as wide as you want the curls to be. Then tie a piece of cloth around a strand at the scalp so that one side of the cloth is the same length as your hair (so the other side should be much longer). Then wrap your strand of hair repeatedly around the hair-length side of the cloth. After that, grab the longer side and wrap it around OVER your hair on the hair-length side of the cloth, then tie the ends of the two sides of cloth together. You'll end up looking like you wrapped strands of your hair with cloth. Sleep on it and the next day - voila - long, gorgeous curls.

    Another way...

Wrap your hair around anything that's light and cylindrical - if you're looking for big, long ringlets try those soft drink aluminum cans - make sure they're empty first! First wet hair. Then section hair into parts as wide as you want the curls to be and started wrapping. Clasp the wrapped hair with a bobby pin or clip. If you don't want to sleep in it - I don't - do it early in the morning on a weekend so no one will see you looking like that :) Then after about 8 or 9 hours, unclasp and unwrap.
try hot curlers for 20 minutes in the morning.

experiment a couple days before in advanced so it doesnt look like **** the day of your graduation
n this case you're probably going to need to use hot rollers. After applying the hot rollers to your entire head and allowing them to set, lightly brush the resulting curls and spray with hair spray to hold. You can also use standard hair rollers on damp hair or fashion your hair into pin curls using bobby pins and sit under a hair dryer until the hair is dry. Use hair spray to hold your new curls.
    try this instead.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoZ2QGq0n…
use GEL SPRAY. alllll over your head once your done curling it.

not just any spray but a GEL one.

then flip your head over and use a THIN THIN THIN rubber band and make a bun at the top of your head.

make sure its thin!!! or they will come out. make a messy bun at the very top front of your hair and add in more THIN bands if you need them.

    GOOD LUCK :)

    Do drugstore curling irons work?

I heard that really expensive straighteners like the CHI can also curl your hair, but I was wondering if the $15 drugstore curling irons work?

Because with the money to buy a Chi, I could buy a lot of curling irons of different sizes. I'm just wondering how the quality of the iron is.Do drugstore curling irons work?
    So. We meet again.

I have the Revlon 2-in-1 Straightener/Curler, and the curling iron does NOT hold curls well. It takes an hour to curl my hair, then the curls will fall out after half an hour no matter how much hair spray I use. Maybe that's just my tragic experience, but I highly doubt other curlers will be any better. Save up for a decent iron, trust me.Do drugstore curling irons work?
    The Chi's are absoluetly AMAZING!

It's all ceramic (many will say they are, but aren't!),

and protects your hair from getting burned and fried.

But if you don't want that,

    use a Revlon,

    they work as good,

    but sometimes..

You won't get that qaulity a Chi will give you.
I really don't think it depends on the store.

    it depends on the brand.

How do i curl my hair with Moose?

My hair is naturally very full and wavy and i've never really had it curly before, i always straighten it because it's easier and so now i wanna start doing something different with it, so i wanna curl it, but i haven't got the money to buy a curling iron yet so i think i'm just gonna use moose.

But i don't know how to do it,

All i know it that after washing your hair you let it dry a bit then put the moose in and scrunch it but i need a bit more detail.

Where do you put the Moose (top of head, ends, middle, etc)?

Do you apply moose to one section of your hair and scrunch it up, then put some more in another part?

Do you just lift your hair up in a scrunch on your head and put the moose in?

I don't get it, can someone tell me in detail what i have to do please?

    Thanks!

xHow do i curl my hair with Moose?
Well just from experience, I know what to do, and it usually turns out well for me xD. Basically, I have fairly curly hair, but I usually straighten it.

    1) Wash your hair well, and be sure that you use conditioner and shampoo

    2) You don't want your hair too wet, but you don't want it too dry either. The best thing to do is get out of the shower, towel dry it a bit, then apply the mouse.

    3) Put a fair amount into your palm, and flip your hair over.

    4) Take some, but not all, and put it in various places, doesn't matter where.

    5) take half of the mouse in one hand, and half in the other and begin scrunching your hair up, and holding it there, and be sure to get all of the hair

    6) if your hair is too wet after you put in the mouse, you can still towel dry it with the mouse.

most importantly, do NOT brush your hair while the mouse is in. It will make it very frizzy, and very unattractive.

hope that helps:)How do i curl my hair with Moose?

i'm so shure it'll help you just like it did for me!! although my hair is naturally curly

    or the moose way...

apply moose all over head tie a zillion hair ties and sleep on it [ or use without moose] Or braid the hair and sleep on it
Part your hair all the way then put moose and twist from roots to end and do the same to other side. Or sometimes, if I want it really curly I just do Chun Lee's hair from street fighter before I go to sleep till I wake up. That's what I do and it works for me and I get compliments. Hope it works!
moose keeps your hair wet so the curls stay so curl your hair when dampp and put moose o each hand and run through your hair
It works even better with mousse.

apply shock waves curl shaping mousse from wella when it is wet then comb it and apply those choppes

after twisting your hair as you shape from the roots to the middle of the hair Allow your hair to air dry naturally. When hair is dry, take the choppesout of your hair and should have great curls
you can use a hair straitner all you have to do is go on youtube and look at videos

How should I curl my hair?

My hair is naturally curly, and looks really good if I scrunch it with gel. But for our school's dinner cruise, I wanted to get those perfect curls when you use a curling iron. I was just wondering if I should straighten it first because some people are saying it's too much heat for your hair and others say it doesn't matter it's worth it because it looks better. So what should I do? andd, what would happen if I scrunched my hair with gel in the morning, and then just curled it at night? (My hair dries by late afternoon, so it wouldn't be wet.) Thankyou:)How should I curl my hair?
    don't straighten it..

after you get out of the shower brush through i and put mouse through it..

let it dry out and use like anti frizz serum.

then take a curling iron and fix the ones that are loose or don't look that good.

    put some hairspray into it..

and maybe make it like half up and half down, but i don't know how long your hair is.. but that would seem pretty cute..

    just don't straighten it..

it'll be a waste of tim when you already have nturally curly hair..

good luck- i hope this helps (:How should I curl my hair?
    Go to a Hair sloan.
It is too much heat but doing it once on like special occasions wont hurt.

if your worried though try getting a spray?

also i think you should just curl it before you go
I have naturally curly hair too. In the past, I have found that straightening my hair, then curling it with a curling iron works best. It's time consuming though. I just have to use a lot of hair spray. The curls look a lot prettier than my natural ones because I get to decide how big or small they are. As far as it being too much heat for your hair...if you straighten your hair often anyway, what's a little more heat? Good luck!
Yeah, scrunch it in the morning and then curl it that night(it will make the curl stay in better with the gel). If you straighten it that morning and then curl it you might have to go over your hair with a curling iron more than once, which will KILL your hair!
    I wouldn't straighten it :p

Erm you could wash it and then use anti-frizz serum

Then blow dry your hair in sections and then split your hair into little sections and wrap them round curling irons.

    (:
I do not have a clue whether it works, but there's a new John Freida range out for curls, which does look pretty good. Well the advert does anyway! Maybe you should check that out.

I would recommend going to a salon before the big night or whatever it is, they'll be able to do it just the way you like it. I know it's probably gonna be pretty expensive but yeah. You might be able to find some good deals somewhere.
Have you tried blow drying it straight first, then curling it with the curling iron?
