How to make your hair curly?

i was wondering if there was a way to make your hair look like you curled it with a curling iron but instead in a way that wont damage your hair. for example to get your hair wavy you just braid your hair and sleep over night with them and the next day your hair is wavy. i wasnt to get my hair curly without having to use a curling ironHow to make your hair curly?
To have curly hair without using a curling iron, you could sleep in sponge curlers. But the effect might not be as pretty or neat as it would be using a curling iron. To avoid and prevent damage from thermal styling, go buy a thermal protectant spray or product of some kind, and then you wouldn't have to worry about using a curling iron. ';It's a 10'; has a leave in product that is very good for that. How to make your hair curly?
uhmm.. theres not much you can do, all i can think of is sponge rollers, when your hair is wet you put them in on your entire head, then wake up in the morning and take them out and it will be curly, just use hairspray
you could get a perm. now i know when people say perm people think poofy tight curls. but there are a lot of different perm sizes i guess yo could call them lol. i have naturally straight hairr and i went and got like a loose curly perm and it made my hair like a really pretty wavy curl. soif you go see you're hair dresser they can help you with that.

hope this helped[:
as for curling it think twice about a curling iron, I'd use a flat iron just because its better for you hair, its quicker and easier.

Try this tutorial out so you can see what I''m talking about:

Its for curling ur hair with the flat iron.
if ur hair has some natural curl just got some moose and scrunch it in ur hands. but if its not curly at all (white girl hair) i would have no idea but im half white and my hair is wavy/curly so i do the scrunch thing and then blow dry it with a curl brush
Use the soft curlers over night. The plastic spiked sort of ones damage hair.
i always hold a strand of my hair with my finger and thumb in a pinched position from the point i want it curled from then wrap it around, looping it through the hole in between, sorta acting as though winding thread around a bobbin, then i hold the remainder of the strand with a circle shape hanging down and clasp the circle with straightners then after pull it downwards, sorry its hard to understand i will soon try make a video
There are a few things you can do that have worked for me:

1 - Use a curling cream or a mousse! My favourite is Aveda Be Curly Curl Enhancer, it works really well

2 - When your hair is wet/damp, seperate it into 4 - 8 sections, give or take, depending on how thick your hair is.

Take a section and seperate it again ito two sections, twist those sections together by crossing them one over the other until the very end, secure it.

Do this for each of the 4 - 8 sections.

Take them out when they're dry, you can adjust it as needed.

Or, once your hair is seperated into the 4- 8 sections, twist the sections into buns and secure them with bobby pins as tight to your head as you can.

Same thing, take 'em out when they're dry, and adjust as needed.

3 - It's still heat, but it's not a curling iron.

You can curl your hair with a straighter. It works great for me.

Seperate your hair the same as you would with a curling iron,

Starting at the root of the section, twist it around the straightner as you pass it through your hair.

It's difficult to explain, here's some good YouTube video of it..
