I have a good curling iron, but it's a hassle to curl my hair every morning. Is there a way i can curl my hair, sleep on it, and wake up with perfect curls, without the discomfort and cost of good curlers? or, is there a really good, inexpensive, set of curlers you would reccomend?
thanks for your help! How do I curl my hair without curlers?
Try having your hair damp and then rolling them with some bendy rollers. You leave them in for a few hours whilst your hair naturally dries and, depending on how tight you roll, them you will have gorgeous curls. How do I curl my hair without curlers?
You could try pincurls. Old fashioned, but it works.
Buy hairpins, wind the strand around your finger in a circle, then pin it down with a hairpin. The larger the strand, the looser the curl will be.
I know, I hate to sleep in rollers too. How about steam rollers or electric rollers in the morning. They sell them at Sally's and or Target. Also, try braiding/plaiting your hair (while damp) all over too and tie the ends with the little rubber bands. You hair may be more like a deep wave once you unbraid it but at least it won't be bone straight.
Buying curling shampoos tends to help or get it permed.
I heard a long time ago that you can curl it using strips of brown paper bag.. just roll the hair in strips of this at night and tie into a knot. Inexpensive and doesn't hurt to try and see how the curls will come out... just be sure to use endpapers when you roll it... cause I'm guessing the paper itself can suck out any oil in the hair.
at night, use the curling iron, but carefully lossen the grip on it a little and pull the iron out, leaving the hair still curled up tightly near your head. pin it with a bobbypin or a clip and then put a scarf or one of those turban towles over your head and sleep on it. In the morning, take them out and touch up parts with the curling iron.
You might have to experiment a little to find a comfy way to sleep and to get the curls to look right, but it definitely works.
get a perm
u can plait it but it might b more like wavy than curly
take a shower, put your hair in a braid or braids, sritz it with a little hairsray then go to sleep with it like that. then take it out in the morning.
Sure, they have these cool ';soft'; curlers that you wrap your hair in and twist shut/tight; put a net on to hold in place or a scarf/hat.
In centuries past, they used to curl their hair with rags. Someone has to do it for you but it works. Your mother used to do it on us when we were children.
in the yahoo search engine, type in 'candy wrappers', they are soft curlers that you can wear to bed. they're not very expensive either. :)
