Try rag curls. You use rags as curlers. You get a perfect natural curls with no damage done to your hair. A curling iron can burn your hair. If you do curl your hair you need to put this ant-burn spray in your hair. How do you make curls with your hair using a curling iron?
You have to test it on your lower lip first.
wrap your hair around the rod of the iron when it is hot. then thats it.
put it int eh clip and twirl it around the iron and hold it there for a minute or so
Start at the bottom, open up the end by squeezing the handle, click the bottom of your hair into it, then roll upward by twisting your wrist. Once you reach near your scalp hold it there till you feel its pretty warm and release the grip while unrolling the iron from your hair...the curl should fall down from it.
i have helped curl my nieces hair for beauty walks and such. what we did was take a small curling iron and take very small amount of strands of hair and spray the hair with hairspray then roll it around like spiral then spray once more, hold it there for about 30 seconds or so, til the hair feels hot. just keep going til through. remember to only use really small amount of hair at a time or the curls may be really big instead of spirals.
It depends on the kind you have. Mine came with intructions. Just open it, put the ends in, curl upwards, hold, and release carefully. Its kinda hard to explain in words.
Most people make the mistake of using their straightening irons like tongs, you don't. Basically, you take the section of hair that you want to curl, then put the iron in at the top, nearest to your head, then, instead of pulling down (as you would to straighten your hair), tilt the irons 90 degrees upwards then pull down the hair section (with the irons kept at 90 degrees to the rest of the hair), this gives you a lovely sort of ringlet curl. Takes a bit of practice but looks lovely. good luck
It depends with model you have, (they should be pretty hot) but it's best to start with unclean hair, meaning washed the day before as it's not so static, and loose. You can use curling products or mouses before then fix sprays after.

The most important thing to do is understand what you want to achieve, spiral curls, big, small, off the face and so on.

When you have decided it's best to section your hair with clips and start at the nape either looking with mirrors or ideally with help from a friend. Brush the hair first then wrap small sections of hair around the preheated curling irons and hold for about 60 seconds or what the manufactures recommend.

Work from the nape then sides then finish with the top section, and spray with fix spray.

It goes some thing like this, but the best thing is practice, so if it's for a night out make sure you give it a go a few days before!
Place the end of your hair inbetween the open part of the barrel so that when it is closed there is about 1-2 cm sticking out.

Curl your hair up, manuevering it so the curling iron is vertical with your hair in it.

Hold it there for about 15-45 seconds and release.

Hope it works out! E-mail if you need any more help.
