I have natural straight long hair and i usually curl it or scrunch it with mousse or gel. But how could i just give it body and volume without it being hard or a curling iron (that takes too long to do all of my hair). I've tried those big hot rollers but it falls out really quickly and then my hair just looks dumb lol. Here's a picture of how i sorta want it to be if it helps any. Thanks!

Or like her hair looked on that proactive Commercial
I found this picture too and i was wondering who you'd use to curl your hair like this? A curling iron maybe?

Use a volumizing shampoo and conditioner. And then after you style your hair the way you want it tease it (or back-comb it) and hairspray it with volumizing hairspray. Also, if you blow-dry your hair upside down and aim the blow dryer at your roots it will add volume. You can also try velcro rollers. Just wrap sections of your hair around them and let them sit.
For that style I would recommend wrapping your hair around a 1/2 in- 1 in curling iron, instead of clamping your hair and wrapping it. It creates those loose waves. How would i give my hair body like this?
try using a shampoo that adds volume.. like the KMS add volume shampoo

I have straight hair..i want curly. how?
I have very straight hair. I would like to be able to scrunch it a little bit here and there. I have herd that if you braid your hair at night when its wet it will be curly enough for you to scrunch in the morning. How do you do that??
Also i have been thinking about getting a little perm. I dont want a huge Puff of curls just a little wave so its curly enough to scrunch every once in a while. I herd that drugstore perms that they sell in a box work good. have you herd of it, and if so how did it work??
any other ways to curl my hair with out a curling iron perferably.
[=Thanks =]I have straight hair..i want curly. how?
well, if you want to curl your hair, you could use curling shampoo. when you get out of the shower, dont blow dry it, wait for it to dry on its own. and dont brush it either. instead just scrunch your hair a bit in places to help it curl.
you can also buy rollers to put in your hair overnight and have curly hair in the morning.
perms work well to if you want permanent curls :]I have straight hair..i want curly. how?
You can get perms that make your hair wavy.....its called a body wave. make sure you tell them about the curl you want because the body waves can be sometimes not very curly. You can also wet your hair and mouse it and french braid it and let it dry. Good Luck!
my mom's old way of curling my hard to curl baby fine straight as a line hair was to pin curl it at night. that is you get bobby pins, take some hair and twist it and than curl around your finger and pin with bobby pin to your head.
as for perms, a body wave will give some curl without a lot of tight curls. hope this helps.

How to style your hair with a hair straightener/ flat iron?
So i just got a hair straightener/ flat iron and i need different stlyles updos or just lose. You could put videos, step by step instructions, pictures, websites or anything.
- curling
- shaping
- anything!!!How to style your hair with a hair straightener/ flat iron?
You can find plenty of ways to style your hair on YouTube, but there are loads of ways to do it yourself. Try experimenting. Use flicks outwards or inwards to look different but it depends on the thickness of your hair. If you want to try curling it, your better off using actual curlers or making sure you have thin straightners because thick ones dont work aswell. How to style your hair with a hair straightener/ flat iron?

Hair problem?!?
Okay, so in about 2 hours I have to be out of the house on my way to an important work meeting. I really want to curl my hair so I can look good and make an impression, but I only have my hair straightener because my curling iron broke. It is not really curling my hair, but I do know that you can curl your hair with a straightener. Can someone please help me on how to go about this situation?Hair problem?!?
Try this.

It's pretty simple once you get the hang of it. Hope this helps!Hair problem?!?
You go to the beginning of your hair, and slowly twist the straightener, once you get to the end, don't twirl, go straight, thus making luscious curls.
:P
It works for me.

Curly/Wavy hair help please?
ok well for you guys who have seen Cheaper by the Dozen 2.... well Carmen Electra who plays the rich guys wife you know how her hair is kinda wavy and curly how do they get that style. I know you do it with a curling iron but what size curling iron and whenever I curl my hair it comes out completely curly not in soft waves like how her hair is. Does anyone know how to do your hair like that?Curly/Wavy hair help please?
It's probably a large wave crimping iron in which you do not wrap the hair around it you just keep going to new section of hair starting where you left off. :-)Curly/Wavy hair help please?
You have to use the LARGE rod curling iron.
no idea
maybe if u google it you will know
me too have wavy hair but i make it straight ,dont like it. my hair is too much and very black!
Use a large, round curling iron. Use styling spritz on each strand that you curl. Spray, curl, spray, curl, etc...until you curl all your hair. The curls will relax once you run your fingers through it. I use a little bit of Biosilk on my hair; just a dab, it's greasy, while running my fingers through it. Once it is soft looking; wavy, instead of really curly, I spray it with hairspray. It's wavy, still soft, and smells great. It is worth the time and effort to have your hair looking beautiful. I have worn my hair like this for a while. Everyone loves it, comments on it. It may take a while to do, but it's worth it. Good luck.short hair cut

How do I get my wavy-ish to be MORE wavy... with out using a curling iron?
It's kinda wavy by itself, but I'd like it to be more curly than more straight, if you know what I mean? Also, so you know any ways to beat frizz without weighing your hair down and making it look all greasy? And it's bob length, so I can't really put it in a bun or anything. Thanks! :)How do I get my wavy-ish to be MORE wavy... with out using a curling iron?
Put in a curl activator and diffuse it. It might make your hair kind of frizzy this way, depending on your hair. I've been dying my hair for about 10 years, so my hair is dead, the best product I found for frizz is Doves Frizz Control Taming Cream. (Best if used with the shampoo and conditioner)How do I get my wavy-ish to be MORE wavy... with out using a curling iron?
Uh...make it wet, and make a one or 2 braids. The smaller they are, the more crimped of a look you'll get. Or if you just go to bed with wet hair, then that may add to the wave. Try using some curling shampoo beforehand.
try braiding it or use small hair rollers
when its wet, put some curling mouse in, and scrunch it until it dryes.
4 ';pigtails'; 2 in the front, 2 in the back...
go to sleep with them then put Garnier ';Frizz Control'; after you take the braids out.. It smells good and makes hair super soft

get some curling mousse on towel dryed hair and kepp on scrunching your hair with your hands until its sortoff dry :]How do I get my wavy-ish to be MORE wavy... with out using a curling iron?
try curling cream after you wash your hair.
-OR-
after you wash your hair braid (like one on each side) it and leave it for the whole day or at night when you sleep. when you wake up take it out
If you tie your hair in a bun when you're at home or when you're not doing anything then you put it down, it will really produce gorgeous waves. Spritz little amount of hairspray or wax spray after to keep it waved like that.
To fight frizz, you'll need anti-frizz conditioners after shampooing. And blow dry your hair on low heat to no heat at all, then apply a small amount of anti-frizz serum to tame the frizz without making it look greasy.
moose should work and hairspray
After having a shower, do not brush your hair.
Tilt your head to one side, and then scrunch the hair up starting from the bottem, this gives the waves more bounce.
